Mallorca Mallorca (Majorca) is home to some of Spain Select’s finest villas. Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, and is characterized by a diverse landscape and a rich cultural heritage. Our selection of villas for rent will help you discover all the island has to offer.

Much of Mallorca’s appeal lies in its charm as a living-working island: the cereal and fruit crops of the central plains and the vineyards around Binissalem are indeed vital to the island’s economy. From its central fertile plains, dotted with traditional windmills, valleys of olive, citrus and almond groves and dramatic Serra Tramuntana mountain range, to its coastal cliffs and limestone caves, pine-edged coves and sandy beaches, Mallorca stuns the senses with its natural beauty. Head for the East Coast, famed for its exceptional beaches and the most secluded coves,, or seek out the long sandy stretches of Es Trenc (SE), Formentor (NW) and Cala Aguilla (NE).

Although Mallorca has no rivers, the mountain torrents that swell after rain have produced, through erosion of the underlying limestone, some impressive caves in the island's landscape such as Coves del Drac.. Numerous footpaths criss-cross the mountains, providing walking and rock climbing to suit all levels. Watersports can be enjoyed all around the island’s coastline, and tennis and golf are easily organized in-land. For those hungry for culture or thirsty for fine wines, venture into the historic capital city of Palma, which is within easy reach of any of our Mallorca villa rentals. Amble through the old quarter with its maze of narrow streets, and visit its avant-garde art galleries, leafy promenades, pavement cafes and tapas bars. Both La Seu, the magnificent Gothic Cathedral on the seafront above the harbour, and the Palau de l´Almudaina, a Moorish fortress-palace, are treasures to behold. Palma also has an impressive modern marina which is worth visiting.

Throughout Mallorca, striking views bring you to a standstill, whether of villages balanced precariously over gorges (Valldemossa) or of ancient olive terraces leading down steep cliffs to pebble beaches (Bañalbufar, Deia). From pretty fishing harbours like Port d'Andratx or the vineyards of Binissalem with its full-bodied red wine, Mallorca is an island to discover, and Spain Select’s collection of Mallorca villas offers the perfect vantage point to do just that.
