Ibiza is the nearest of the Balearic Islands to the coast of Spain. A small island made up of charming villages, set amongst unspoilt countryside and dramatic coastline lapped by the clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The coastline is etched with innumerable rocky coves and sandy beaches and its pine-clad, hilly interior dotted with picturesque, whiter than white, farmhouses and stunning churches. The countryside, particularly in the North, is a colourful patchwork of almond, olive and fig groves and wooded hills. This is an island to absorb and explore, offering a simultaneous rural and coastal experience as from any point on the island the sea is never more than 15km away.

Ibiza has long been a magnet for the rich and famous with its draw notably for its exclusive rural and coastal locations and its extraordinary nightlife. Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni are the island's main tourist centres, with lively restaurants and bars and excellent beaches to enjoy. They provide a flavour of Ibizan culture and heritage. In particular, Ibiza Town with its walled medieval quarter Dalt Vila, cobbled streets, noble mansions and striking cliff-top cathedral retains its old-world charm. There are plenty of things to do in Ibiza other than sunbathe! From Sa Talaiassa, Ibiza´s highest mountain, savour the panoramic view of the whole island. Visit the salt flats, Ses Salines in the extreme south east, (stunning at sunset) or try out any number of outdoor pursuits such as horse-riding, hiking, cycling and sailing which are available for those with energy to burn in the sun!

The real Ibiza is an ideal setting for those in search of a tranquil existence with an undefinable magic that appeals to everyone.
