| Asturias is renowned for its unspoilt coastline, lush green landscapes,
where meadows and orchards flourish in verdant valleys a contrast to the
deep, winding gorges that cut through craggy rocks transforming rolling
hills into dramatic mountains. These dramatic mountains, the Picos de
Europa, offer some of the best walking terrain in all Europe and most other
mountain sports can be organised. Only a few kilometres away from the
mountain peaks, is the neighbouring Cantabric Coast, washed by the Atlantic.
There are many ancient towns and churches dotted along the coast of Asturias with the Costa Verde of particular note; a succession of sandy coves backed by dramatic cliffs, punctuated by deep estuaries and numerous fishing villages. Here, sample the delicious local seafood, Cabrales cheese and Asturian cider. Famous mountain routes, such as The Way of Santiago and the Ruta de la Plata (Silver Route) can be explored, at least in part, as both lead through the verdant province of Asturias. We offer a selection of villas and country houses available to rent in Asturias. Each of them carefully chosen based on their individual characteristics.
