General Description

This inviting, one-bedroom apartment is located within one of the most lively and eclectic neighborhoods of central Madrid, in an area that offers an interesting fusion of the classic and contemporary. Traditional architecture – old churches and taverns from yesteryear – have become amalgamated with present-day, avant-guarde fashion boutiques, as well as contemporary restaurants, bars and cafes. The apartment enjoys quite an idyllic urban situation. Many the city's key places of interest lie within easy reach, like the ever-dynamic Calle Fuencarral (Fuencarral St.) – full of shops and top brands. At the tail end of Fuencarral is the majestic Gran Vía, with its imposing buildings. And, from there, a short walk takes you to the famous Puerta del Sol ('Gateway to the Sun'). In addition, there are many metro stations and bus stops in the vicinity that will allow you to explore any point of the city easily and efficiently. The apartment can be found on the penthouse level of the building within a traditional-style, residential madrileño edifice, right next to the emblematic Plaza de San Idelfonso, one of the city's most beautiful squares. Its interiors are simple, yet elegant, echoing its geographical composition by fusing design elements of the past with some of the present. All of the pieces, from the candle holders on the authentic timber coffee table to the patio chair, have been handpicked by our designers. Colours have been kept simple and hushed because the space already enjoys an abundance of natural sunlight, which guests can soak up on the adjoining outdoor terrace. The combined living and dining room features an open plan arrangement, with a large sofa in the former for relaxation   and a rounded dining table for four in the latter. This apartment has wood flooring throughout, interrupted only by the carefully-chosen rugs in the living room and master bedroom, and by the stone and ceramic tiles of the patio and bathroom respectively. The kitchen comes fully kitted out with essential utensils and appliances. Moving into the bedroom, you will fund plenty of space and light, with a double bed arrangement dressed with quality linens. We've also added an armchair and side table by the door leading to the patio for when quiet time is needed. In the bathroom, there is some storage under the sink, in addition to the built-storage in the bedroom; it also boasts a spacious, walk-in shower. For its wonderful location in the trendy part of town and its wonderfully cosy interiors, this is a perfect short-stay option for a couple or lone visitor to the Spanish capital.

Accommodation and Facilities

Surface area: 65m2 + 10m2 of terrace. 4th Floor. The entrance of the apartment leads into bright living/dining room furnished with an L-shaped sofa, a wooden and metal coffee table, and a wooden storage unit with a flat-screen TV. The round dining room seats 4. The apartment’s terrace can be accessed from living room and is furnished with a table for 4 and rattan style chair with a side table. The kitchen is located down a corridor that leads off the living room and is fully equipped with a refrigerator, washer, 4-ring ceramic hob, an oven and a microwave. The bedroom is furnished with two large single beds pushed together (1.05m x 2.00m), a bedside table with a retro-style lamp, an arm-chair and side table and built-in wardrobes.  The terrace can also be accessed from the bedroom. The bathroom is equipped with a shower. There is wooden flooring throughout the apartment except the bathroom which is tiled.

Booking Conditions

We ask our clients to pay a refundable security deposit of € 100 upon arrival to the apartment. We will refund the deposit within seven days of your departure provided the apartment has not suffered any damage.
