General Description

Chamberí – home to this wonderful, two bedroom roost for a group of up to four urban wanderers – is one of a handful of neighborhoods in the Spanish capital that still lives in the traditional Madrid way. Local markets and typical tapas restaurants, where groups of friends and relatives can convene and reminisce over wine and mediterranean bites, are still a big hit amongst indigenous Madrileños of the barrio. While the area increasingly attracts young, professional settlers, you will find folk from all walks of life here: families, senior citizens and students from Spain and the world over. Yet, despite this mingling of minds, Chamberí still carries the air of classic Madrid. Being a village-like neighborhood where shopkeepers tend to know you by name, it offers all the necessities and amenities of life and leisure in abundance, and its slight displacement from the city centre eliminates the majority of the hustlers and bustlers often associated with this part of the metropolis. Alonso Martinez, for example, boasts a cluster of fine restaurants, authentic tapas treats and even French teas shops. And while the area sits slightly to the north of the heart of the city, the latter is only a few minutes away thanks to great connections by metro, bus, taxi, and even on foot. Mindanao I is an enchanting little cove fit for a small family or group of fellow adventurers. Elegance is the best word to describe the interior setup here, which has been carefully assembled – piece by piece – by the hands of our design team. Half of the lounge area is composed of a series of glass doors, affording guests a highly covetable city outlook and an abundance of light. In the dining area, a large, looming chandelier will illuminate intimate meals around the long, wooden table. These two areas – lounge and dining – are connected via an open, spatial layout that somehow lends it a sense of volume and warmth all at once. Behind a partial wall next to the dining area sits the modern kitchen, fully stocked with all the essential utilities and then some. It also incorporates a small breakfast bar and stools for two, encouraging more intimate get-togethers over a cup of tea and some nibbles. Moving through to the sleeping chambers, you will find the double beds in both bedrooms swathed in luxury linens, and positioned in such a way that the urban landscape is your backdrop when nodding off to sleep or rousing from it in the morning. The master bedroom has through access to its own contemporary bathroom, complete with walk-in shower. The second bedroom offers similar luxuries, with  a bathtub/shower combo to boot. And when you're not unwinding here, in your plush hideout, access to the building's heated pools (one of which is located on the rooftop), plus sauna and gymnasium, will provide you with a richness of respite that will add another layer of luxury to your stay with us.

Accommodation and Facilities

Surface area: 80m2. Eighth floor. The entrance leads into the spacious living / dining area completely exterior facing with large floor to ceiling windows. It is elegantly furnished with a leather 3-seater sofa, 2 armchairs, 2 identical mirror coffee tables and a TV stand with a flat screen TV and DVD player. The wooden dining table can seat 4 guests. The open plan kitchen is separated from the dining area by a sliding door and is fully equipped with fridge / freezer, oven, 4-ring ceramic hob (stove), microwave, dishwasher and washing machine / dryer. The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed (1.50m x 2.00m), 2 bedside tables with colourful lamps, a floor to ceiling headboard and an ample walk-in wardrobe. The master en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower. The seconf bedroom has a double bed (1.50m x 2.00m), 2 bedside tables with lamps and ample built-in wardrobes. The second bathroom has a bathtub and is located directly across from the second bedroom and is therefore also ideal for guests. Please note there is wooden flooring throughout the apartment except for the bathrooms and the kitchen, which are tiled.

Booking Conditions

We ask our clients to pay a refundable security deposit before arrival to the apartment. The deposit will be returned in full seven days after departure, provided the apartment has not been damaged.
