For such a central location, Marques del Duero is a very quiet street with minimal traffic. The property also enjoys great proximity to the northern fringe of Parque del Retiro – Madrid's most celebrated and beloved patch of green space that is often cited among Europe's best. Meanwhile, the lengthy boulevards that form Calles Serrano and Velazquez – lined from top to bottom with popular stores, like a window-shopper's dream – stretch-out towards the north of the city. Alternatively further exploration of Madrid's many offerings is made realistic by multiple means, beginning with the nearby Retiro and Banco de España metro stations and extending to the numerous bus stops and taxi ranks in the vicinity. For the rest, Marques del Duero I needs little explanation; it simply needs to be beheld to be appreciated. The second-floor apartment comfortably sleeps up to six guests, making it perfect for a family or a large group. This communal room also counts among its charms two huge sofas and a large armchair for reading. Light and warmth are always components of the ambience in this room, thanks to large French doors that open out to balconettes. Three vertical beams separate this room from the combined kitchen and dining room, where a long, authentic timber dining table lined with designer chairs encourages guests to enjoy some wonderful meals during their stay. To that end, you'll find all of the necessary equipment and appliances stocked there as part of a modern, city setup with a touch of country charm. A huge chandelier, pristine oak flooring and a floor-to-ceiling bookcase completes the cosy appeal of these two main rooms. The kitchen leads through to a separate study or second living room complete with desk, reading room and sofa, in which you can enjoy a more intimate rendezvous with fellow guests or visitors. The three bedrooms are all of a great size with two of them featuring large double beds and the third bedroom featuring two singles – perfect for guests or young children. Each chamber also boasts oak flooring and plenty of light, as well as quality linens that ensure a great night's sleep each night of your stay. The master suite boasts a large built-in wardrobe area in addition to a private, modern bathroom featuring a comfortable  bathtub and large separate walk-in shower. The remaining two rooms also have access to a private bathrooms, each with a vast walk-in shower. For a classy stay in Madrid, this home will surely offer everything necessary, and then some.

Accommodation and Facilities

Surface area: 195m2. Second floor. The entrance leads into a book lined hall and from there into the spacious living area that is elegantly furnished with two large 4-seater sofas, a modern white coffee table, two side tables with lamps and a fireplace at the end of the room. The lounge also has an additional seating area with a comfortable reading chair and a round table. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator / freezer, a drinks fridge, a 5-ring gas hob (cooktop), oven and microwave and it is furnished with a large wooden table for 8. Directly from the kitchen you can access the second living room - a large study / den - furnished with a 3 seater leather sofa, an armchair, a colourful coffee table and a home theatre flat TV. There is also a modern desk and chair in the room that can be used for work. This spacious apartment has three double bedrooms. The master suite is furnished with a king size double bed (1.80m x 2.00m), 2 bedside tables with lamps, a flat screen TV, ample built-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with a comfortable bathtub and a separate large walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a large double bed (1.60m x 1.90m), two bedside tables with modern lamps and ample storage space thanks to wall-to-wall built in wardrobes. This bedroom's bathroom, with a large walk-in shower, is located directly across from the bedroom and is therefore also ideal for guests. The third bedroom has two single beds (0.90m x 2.00m), bedside tables, console table, lamps and built-in wardrobes. The en-suite third bathroom also has a large walk-in shower. There is wood flooring throughout the property, except in the bathrooms, which are antique tiled.

Booking Conditions

We ask our clients to pay a refundable security deposit of 400 € before arrival to the apartment. The deposit will be returned in full seven days after departure, provided the apartment has not been damaged.
