General Description

This designer, attic apartment is found on the fourth floor of Spain Select Carretas, a completely rehabilitated building consisting of eight stylish apartments just off Madrid's Puerta del Sol, and available exclusively through Spain Select. The location for those who come to Madrid for tourism is excellent, with good communications to all parts of the city from the metro in Sol, and to all parts of the country from the Atocha Train Station, which about a 10-15 walk away, or just three stops from Sol on the metro. All shopping needs are met on the other side of the Puerta del Sol in the Preciados shopping district, which includes an El Corte Ingles department store. There is plenty to see and do nearby. The Plaza de Santa, and the surrounding streets, are popular for all kinds of restaurants, cafes and bars. Within walking distance too are the three important art museums: the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza. Another pleasant walk is through Austrian Madrid (also known as "old Madrid), which begins just next to Spain Select Carretas and extends to the Royal Palace. The apartment has been professionally and brightly decorated. The living room, fitted with white, modern furnishings, benefits from a very high attic ceiling and natural light from one extreme and from a Velux skylight. There are further Velux skylights on the low ceilings of the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. There are superb views available from these skylights over the rooftops of the surrounding area. Please note that due to this being an attic apartment, the ceiling is very low in some areas, particularly in the kitchen, bathroom & bedroom. The building has an elevator, but there is a small staircase situated just in front of the lobby.

Accommodation and Facilities

Surface Area: 50 m2. Fourth Floor. The entrance leads into a living / dining area furnished with one 3-seater sofa, two side tables, a wooden coffee table, a shelving with LCD TV, DVD and a wooden dining table for four. There is a double bedroom (with a queen-sized bed 1.50m x 2.00m) that has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The kitchen is equipped with small refrigerator, oven, 2-ring ceramic hob (stove) and washing machine.

Booking Conditions

We ask our clients to pay a refundable security deposit of € 100 upon arrival to the apartment. We will refund the deposit within seven days of your departure provided the apartment has not suffered any damage.
