GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This stunning five star property sits on the spectacular Cap de Creus peninsula in the northern part of the Costa Brava. Famous for being the inspiration to artists from Picasso to Salvador Dali, the breathtaking views of the Cap de Creus national park and Mediterranean coastline is a haven of light and calm. Situated just 20 miles from the French border, the area is the easternmost point of the Spanish mainland, offering skiing in the winter, sailing in the summer and great places to visit at all times of the year. There is hiking in the nearby national park, numerous beautiful beaches and bays, and excellent restaurants, including El Bulli in the nearby bay of Monjoi, owned by top chef Ferrán Adría and considered to be the best in the world. The villa itself is the epitome of modern, understated luxury and style. Spread over two floors, the spacious living and dining area on the ground floor is the focus of the house, and a perfect example of open-plan living at its finest. The theme continues outside, as it leads onto the large terrace, boasting a separate living and dining area, a stunning infinity swimming pool, a heated Jacuzzi and incredible views out to the ocean. Four of the bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, with the master bedroom featuring two bathrooms, a small dressing area and sliding doors opening out onto the pool area. The further three en-suite bedrooms all have large glass sliding doors that lead out onto the terrace and views of the coastline. Downstairs is yet another large living area, with access to the sauna, changing rooms and a separate games area for table tennis. ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES

Ground floor: The main living area has large panoramic windows with views out over the pool and bay. The main kitchen, equipped with state of the art appliances: large Smeg oven, second Siemens oven, Siemens microwave, Siemens steam oven, Gaggenau gas hobs x 3, Gaggenau induction hob, Gaggenau charcoal hob, Gaggenau Japanese grill plate, cool air curtain around central cooking area, double fronted Miele fridge and freezer, 2 wine storage/cooler cabinets, 2 dishwashers. There are four bedrooms on this level: The master bedroom has two bathrooms – one with shower and one with bath/Jacuzzi – plus an adjoining dressing room. Large patio windows open out onto the pool area. Three further en suite bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one in the master bedroom wing and two in a private wing. All have patio doors opening out onto a side terrace with views of the Cap de Creus coastline. One level down: Downstairs there is a large living space, with an indoor courtyard and ‘daylight’ lighting that can be used for games, entertainments, exhibitions or teaching. There is a large screen cinema with satellite TV/DVD/computer connections. Separate areas off the living area include a table tennis room and indoor passageway to the sauna and swimming pool complex. There are steps down from the patio area to changing rooms and a sauna, which can also be accessed from inside the house.
