GENERAL DESCRIPTION

La Casona is surrounded by a large stone wall providing complete independence and privacy. This beautiful period property, dating back to the end of the 18th century, is a typical Asturian country house. It has been restored, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Outside, the extensive grounds of 10,000 m2, with a well cared for front lawn, and at the back, a large area of land planted with fruit trees. La Casona is located on the edge of the charming hamlet of Lledias, directly beneath the foothills of the Picos de Europa mountain range, yet only five minutes from the coast. The house is an ideal location from which to explore the surrounding area and partake in the numerous activities that it offers, such as salmon and trout fishing, horse riding, climbing and trekking. A couple of minutes away is Posada de Llanes, a small town, where plenty of bars, restaurants and most other important services can be found. In the attractive fishing harbour towns of Rivadesella to the west and Llanes to the east you will find numerous restaurants where you can sample the excellent seafood accompanied by a refreshing glass of the local cider. The nearest beaches, unspoilt sandy coves, protected by dramatic rocky cliffs, are only a five minute drive away. The cities of Oviedo and Santander are both one hour drive away (100 km).

ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES

Three floors. Ground floor: A spacious living area entered from the front door; this room, like the rest of the house, is beautifully decorated and furnished, it also has its own fireplace. At the back of the house is the kitchen, fully equipped with a vitro ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge, washing machine, dryer and microwave. Off the kitchen, through a brick archway, is an attractive dining room with a table that seats 6 to 8 people; also on this floor is a separate WC. First floor: A second large living area, with an enormous balcony overlooking the front garden. Off this room there are two bedrooms: 1 double and another bedroom with 3 single beds (0.90m x 1.90m). There is a large bathroom with bath, washbasin and WC. Second floor: Another spacious living area with fireplace, two large twin bedrooms (0.90m x 1.90m) and a bathroom with bath, washbasin and WC. Grounds: Large garden (10.000 m2) with courtyard. Next to the main house is the old barn, which has been fully converted into a games hall, with pool table, table football, table tennis, pinball machine, darts etc.
