GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Available only from Spain Select, Carretas 202 is located just off Madrid’s famous Puerta del Sol. It is one of eight luxury apartments that have been newly constructed behind a traditional façade. These apartments offer visitors to Madrid all of the city’s most important attractions within walking distance. Within five minutes’ walk is the Plaza Mayor, the most important feature of the area known as Austrian Madrid. Just beyond the Plaza Mayor are the Royal Palace and the Cathedral. The city’s three renowned art museums: the Prado, the Reina Sofia and the Thyssen-Bornemisza are within ten to fifteen minutes’ walk in the opposite direction. The Puerta del Sol is a thriving hub at the centre of Madrid and is also the geographic centre of Spain. Adjacent to it is the extensive shopping district of Preciados. The most notable feature of the Plaza is the clock that sits above it and whose bells mark the arrival of a new year. In the evenings the abundance of restaurants, cafés and bars means this area remains popular. This is especially true of the area around the Plaza de Santa Ana, where there are many terraces for outdoor dining. The Puerta del Sol is also an excellent starting point for visiting other parts of the city and the country given its excellent metro, bus and train communications. The Atocha train station, which offers commuter trains and high speed AVE trains to all corners of Spain, is 15 minutes walk or three metro stops away. Carretas 202 is a two bedroom apartment with a high quality of fittings and furnishings. It has been professionally decorated and incorporates original artwork. The living room is very bright thanks to its two balconied windows overlooking the street below and the light marble floors. Bold burgundy paintwork and matching decorative elements have been employed in contrast to the light floors to good effect. The two double bedrooms are situated in the interior of the building and are very quiet. The rental price shown on the website applies for up to 2 people. For up to 4 people there is an additional charge of € 25 /day.
ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES
Surface area: 70 m2. Second floor. The entrance hall leads into a living / dining area with one balcony facing out the street. It is furnished with one 3-seater sofa, a wooden coffee table, a shelving with LCD TV, DVD and a wooden dining table for four. Along the corridor, there are two double bedrooms: 1 double (queen-sized bed 1.60m x 1.90m) and 1 twin (2 single beds 0.90m x 1.90m). There is a bathroom with walk-in shower. The kitchen is equipped with fridge freezer, oven, 4-ring ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine and a breakfast bar with two stools. There is an additional toilet (WC). There is marble flooring throughout except for the bathroom and kitchen, which are tiled.


Facilities include: Satellite TV, DVD, Wireless Internet Connection, Central Heating, Air Conditioning Units, Dishwasher and Washing Machine.
