Situated on the emblematic Calle Mayor, in the old town, the apartment is a stone’s throw from the famous Plaza Mayor and the Puerta del Sol. Nearby also are the Palace and the Royal Theatre, as well as the charming turn of the century market of San Miguel. A short walk will take you into the character-filled streets of Austrian Madrid, alive with restaurants, cafes and old taverns. Perhaps the most famous of these is the Cava Baja, which is a must for visitors looking to sample Madrid cuisine in an authentic setting. The apartment is located in a traditional building and has been recently renovated to a high standard and cosily decorated in autumnal shades. Throughout, the dark parquet flooring adds to the warmth of this “home away from home”. The living room enjoys two large balconied windows overlooking the street below.
